How Do I Get My Kindle Apps From One Kindle To Another?

My kindle recently broke so amazon sent me another free of charge. I was told that all of my apps would be on my new kindle because of the cloud storage. I turned my new kindle on, set it up and it now says Jessica’s second kindle, so it recognizes the fact that i already have one, but none of my apps were on it already. I had several apps and books and it would make me very sad to have to redownload them all.
Any help would be appreciated!
